Darya Andijan and Smaragda Nitsopoulou - joint programme
Darya Andijan and Smaragda Nitsopoulou - joint programme
Description

Artistic Research Week 2025 | Master of Film | Part of the Keep an Eye Filmacademie Festival

This is a joint programme of Darya Andijan's Do You Know That I’m With You and You will only see a flash of light by Smaragda Nitsopoulou.

Do You Know That I'm With You (Darya Andijan)

Do You Know That I’m With You is a docu-fiction short framed as a dialogue between the director and Gülem, a forgotten goddess of carpet weaving. Through poetic voices, shared rituals, and ancestral echoes, they explore themes of feminism, oppression, and colonial erasure. As fragments of Gülem’s memory resurface, the dialogue grows into a collective act of remembrance and transformation.

You will only see a flash of light (Smaragda Nitsopoulou)

In a homeland that should offer refuge, You Will Only See a Flash of Light reveals how fear can reshape both personal and collective identity. Through the lens of personal trauma and visual juxtaposition, it confronts the violence lurking in both home and society.
