Shifting Perspectives: Six films on racism
The murder of George Floyd in May 2020 led to worldwide protests against racism and the demand for real and structural change. Within this context IDFA curated an online set of documentaries on overt and covert racism, both in the US and Europe.
Srebrenica is Dutch History
July 11th, 2020 marked the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. IDFA, at the invitation of and together with the Bosnian Girl collective, put together a film program that explores this tragic history from different social and cultural perspectives.
4 films selected by IDFA Bertha Fund available online
From Egypt, South Africa, and Mozambique, among other countries, these films were supported by the IDFA Bertha Fund and premiered at IDFA 2016.
Films in solidarity
In view of the current situation in Belarus, the European Cultural Foundation and IDFA present two documentary films by Mirosław Dembiński. Both films shed much-needed light on the recent history of Belarus and call attention to the threat currently facing democracy in Europe.
