    Ed Lachman to be tutor at IDFAcademy Summer School

    Renowned director of photography Ed Lachman will be among the eight tutors for the IDFAcademy Summer School 2017. We feel very lucky that the leading cinematographer will join us to give guidance to a select group of up-and-coming international filmmaking talents.

    IDFAcademy Summer School announces 2017 participants

    Sixteen projects have been selected to participate in the IDFAcademy Summer School 2017. During the Summer School, held July 3 – 8 in Amsterdam, up-and-coming international filmmaking talents from all over the world will get a chance to work on their film scripts or rough cuts under the guidance of esteemed film professionals.

    Twelve films supported through IBF Classic

    The IDFA Bertha Fund has concluded the February selection round of 2017 of its IBF Classic scheme. Twelve documentary projects from countries like Myanmar, Belarus, Algeria and Jordan will be supported by the fund, including many projects by first-time directors.

    IDFA Awards handed out at international festivals

    Over the last few weeks, three IDFA Awards were handed out at festivals and industry events in Guadalajara, Kolkata and Prague. The winning directors and producers will get the chance to present themselves and their project at IDFA in various ways.
