The official opening of the Vondelpark Pavilion is fast approaching: in just over three weeks, the doors will open. Behind the scenes, preparations are in full swing for the opening program, where a selection of prominent filmmakers and artists based in the Netherlands will guide us through the turbulent times of today with their voices, ideas, and work.

We are proud to announce the full line-up of curators:

Established filmmaker Vincent van Monnikendam, who will give a Filmmaker Talk among others; Aliona van der Horst, who recently won the Best Dutch Documentary Award at the last IDFA edition; and a selection curated by six youngsters, including the winners of the Best Non-Fiction Prize at the Dutch Film Festival for Students.

These curators join Ester Gould, Festus Toll, and Ali Eslami, whose names we shared last week.

Expect a kaleidoscopic program including short film selections – from classic to niche and experimental – an exhibition featuring Virtual Reality works blurring the boundaries between art, technology, and reality, old and new films, talks, music, unexpected encounters, cultural exchanges, and more!

Next week, ticket sales will officially begin, so mark February 29th in your calendar!
