Festival history

In Der Pornojäger, Peter Heller follows Martin Humer who combats the porn industry in Austria like a modern Don Quixote. Humer scours porn bars and sex shops, and on establishing offences he reports them to the police. Occasionally, he himself confiscates what he does not like. These actions often result in a legal prosecution for the porn publishers, but frequently cause a conflict between Humer and the authorities, too. His direct opponent is the wealthy porn publisher Peter Jarnisch, who is after revenge because charges were brought against him by Humer on various occasions.
Peter Heller about his film: "I had never expected to see myself shooting a movie with pornography and the sex industry as the theme.... But when I coincidentally heard about the 'porn hunter' - as he calls himself - Martin Humer, and eventually met him personally with his goals, ambitions, and actions. I was curious to try an explosive theme: sexuality and politics. After a year of laborious research, between sex shops, the Public Prosecutor, and action 'Clean Screen', a journey began for me, between lust and revulsion, between hypocrisy and appropriate anger about the hurt dignity of women".
