Artistic Research Week 2025 | Master of Film
Artistic Research Week 2025 | Master of Film
28.06.2025 - 29.06.2025
The Master of Film at the Netherlands Film Academy presents Artistic Research Week 2025, hosted partly at Het Documentaire Paviljoen on the 28 and 29 of June. This event showcases the culmination of two years of intensive artistic research, as emerging filmmakers investigate contemporary artistic questions through film works, immersive installations, and performance-lectures.
At the heart of this year’s Artistic Research Week program is a deep engagement with cinema as a space for critical exploration and artistic risk-taking. The featured works span a spectrum of voices and practices, offering reflections on personal, political, and aesthetic concerns. Over the course of their research journeys, the graduating filmmakers have embraced complexity and contradiction, exploring fragile ideas with care and conviction. Their projects resist easy answers and instead attempt to open up new ways of thinking, seeing, and storytelling.
